Event Support and Sanitation Team Member
Job Summary
The Event Support and Sanitation Team Member is a dual-role position responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of designated facility areas, primarily restrooms, before, during, and after events, while also providing essential event support as needed. This role is crucial for ensuring a safe, clean, and positive environment for all guests and staff.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Facility Sanitation and Cleaning:
Restroom Maintenance: Perform regular, thorough cleaning and sanitizing of all public and staff restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, floors, and partitions.
Replenishment: Ensure all dispensers (soap, paper towels, toilet paper) are consistently stocked and operational.
Trash Management: Empty trash receptacles and replace liners in restrooms and other assigned areas.
Spills and Hazards: Promptly respond to and clean up spills, accidents, and bodily fluid hazards using appropriate safety protocols and cleaning chemicals.
Lobby/Concourse Cleaning: Assist with general cleaning of high-traffic areas, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces, as directed by supervisors.
Equipment Care: Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of all cleaning equipment and supplies.
Event Support:
Guest Assistance:
Provide directions and basic information to guests regarding facility layout, first aid locations, and accessible restrooms.
Post-Event Cleanup: Participate in the full facility breakdown and cleanup operations following the conclusion of the event, including clearing seating areas and removing debris.
Area Monitoring: Monitor assigned areas for maintenance issues (e.g., leaky faucets, broken fixtures) and immediately report them to a supervisor.
Support Roles: May be assigned to assist with other non-cleaning event duties as needed, such as line management or credential checks, depending on event requirements and supervisor direction.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, and kneel for extended periods.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including pushing cleaning carts and lifting supplies.
Ability to work with and around various cleaning chemicals safely (training provided).
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally (e.g., bags of trash, cleaning buckets).
Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and adjust to the event schedule.
