Job Position: Quality Technician I

Location: Grand Prairie, TX 75050

Pay Rate: $22.00/hr

Shift: Mon - Thurs 4AM-2:30PM

Role Objective

At our client, they just don’t just make parts; they engineer horsepower. As a Quality Performance Specialist, you are the final checkpoint between their engineering lab and the customer’s engine bay. You aren't just "inspecting parts"—you are guaranteeing the legendary airflow and protection that has made our client a global icon for over 50 years.

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • The 3-Day Weekend, Every Week: Work hard for four days and enjoy a permanent three-day weekend. Beat the traffic, skip the Saturday crowds, and reclaim your Fridays.

  • Be the Authority: Starting at 4:00 AM means you are the technical lead on the floor when the magic happens. You’ll have the autonomy to make real-time decisions that impact global shipping.

  • Precision Over Paperwork: While we document our wins, your day is hands-on. You’ll be using high-end tools like calipers and micrometers to validate the "fit and finish"of world-class automotive components.

  • Career Turbocharger: We value internal growth. Use this role as a launchpad into Quality Engineering, Production Management, or Technical Design.

What You’ll Do (The Daily Drive)

  • Audit Excellence: Conduct high-level inspections at every stage of the build—from raw aluminum to the iconic red filters.

  • Blueprint Translation: Turn complex engineering prints into physical reality by ensuring every dimension is spot-on.

  • Collaboration: Partner with Product Managers and Supervisors to solve puzzles, crush non-conformities, and keep the line moving fast.

  • Digital Mastery: Log your victories in our Business Management System (BMS), ensuring K&N stays ISO 9001 compliant and ahead of the competition.

Who You Are

  • The Detail Detective: You notice the $0.05\text{ mm}$ variance that others miss.

  • The Gearhead Mindset: You have 2+ years in manufacturing and a passion for how things are built.

  • The Early Riser: You’re at your best when the sun is coming up and the floor is humming.

  • The Communicator: You can explain a technical "why"to a teammate just as easily as you can write it in a report.

The Toolkit You’ll Bring

  • High proficiency with Calipers, Micrometers, and Angle Gauges.

  • Solid computer skills (Excel, Word, and Windows).

  • A "Safety First, Quality Always"attitude.
