Quality Control Inspector – Technical Manufacturing

Location: Katy, TX (77493) Starting Pay: $22.00/hr (Day Shift) | $24.00/hr (Night Shift) Partner: Core Personnel Staffing Services in partnership with a global leader in high-voltage power electronics and industrial automation.

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for precision and quality? Core Personnel is seeking Quality Control Inspectors to join an elite technical production team in Katy. In this role, you will be the final line of defense, ensuring that advanced industrial systems meet rigorous engineering specifications before they reach the client.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Inspection: Perform hands-on and visual inspections of in-process and finished goods to verify workmanship against complex engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.

  • Documentation: Accurate reporting of Non-Conforming Products (NCP). You will document discrepancies with high detail to ensure swift resolution.

  • Compliance: Verify that all assembly and quality documentation is complete, signed, dated, and matches the most current revision.

  • Standards: Follow ISO 9001:2015 standards and established QC procedures to confirm products meet strict acceptance criteria.

  • 6S Excellence: Maintain a highly organized work area and champion a "Safety-First"culture by monitoring PPE compliance and reporting hazards.

  • Leadership: Provide training and guidance to junior QC personnel on departmental methods and processes as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: At least 6 months of Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment (2+ years preferred).

  • Technical Literacy: Must be able to read and interpret mechanical and wiring drawings.

  • Tool Proficiency: Experience using precision hand tools and measurement devices.

  • Quality Knowledge: Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 or similar quality management systems.

  • Software: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook for accurate record-keeping.

  • Physicality: Ability to stand for long periods and lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs.

  • Communication: Strong English proficiency (written and oral) with the ability to communicate technical issues clearly to supervisors.
