Job Position: Quality Assurance Mgr - Food Safety

Location: New Caney, TX 77357

Pay Rate: $30.00/hr (DOE)

Description: Quality Assurance Manager (Bilingual English/Spanish)

A growing beverage manufacturing and co-packing company is seeking a Bilingual Quality Assurance Manager to lead all food safety and quality programs. This role is responsible for maintaining SQF certification, overseeing regulatory compliance, managing lab testing and supplier approvals, and ensuring all products meet strict quality standards. The QA Manager will also lead internal audits, manage customer complaint investigations, and train production teams on food safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and manage SQF certification, HACCP plans, and regulatory compliance.

Oversee quality documentation and digital compliance systems across multiple SQF modules.

Manage in-house lab testing, incoming material inspections, and product release procedures.

Lead supplier approval programs, review COAs, and track supplier corrective actions.

Investigate customer complaints, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

Conduct internal audits and coordinate third-party audits and regulatory inspections.

Train plant employees on GMPs, food safety procedures, and QA processes in English and Spanish.

Manage environmental monitoring, sanitation verification, and pest control documentation.

Requirements

Bilingual English/Spanish (spoken and written).

3+ years of food or beverage quality assurance experience, including supervisory responsibilities.

Experience with SQF, BRC, or other GFSI food safety standards.

HACCP certification or ability to obtain shortly after hire.

Knowledge of FDA regulations, cGMPs, and food safety compliance.

Experience with lab testing, supplier approval programs, and audit preparation.

Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple compliance programs.

Preferred

SQF Practitioner or PCQI certification.

Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field.

Experience in beverage manufacturing or co-packing operations.

Internal auditor certification and familiarity with allergen and label compliance programs.

Salary: $65,000 – $85,000 depending on experience.
