Shift: Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM

Seeking a highly knowledgeable and detail-oriented Medical Biller to become a key member of our healthcare team. This individual will be pivotal in overseeing billing operations and ensuring prompt collections. This role entails handling patient intake, accounts receivable, and insurance processing. THIS IS NOT A CODER POSITION.
Medical Biller Responsibilities

Accurately assign account numbers, billing indicators, and payer types.

Verify patient eligibility, confirm benefits, and secure necessary prior authorizations.

Understand and distinguish the financial responsibilities of insurance companies, healthcare facilities, patients, and third-party payers.

Prepare and submit claims promptly and within specified deadlines.

Monitor aged accounts and receivables to prevent late payments.

Track and manage the entire billing lifecycle from start to finish.

Ensure all data is accurate and complete for correct billing and payee information.

Maintain detailed and thorough records within the HME software database.
Medical Biller Skills

2-4 years of experience in HME billing preferred.

Proficiency in MS Office applications and 10-key data entry required.

Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid guidelines is desirable.

Strong understanding of reimbursement guidelines for major insurance carriers.

Prior experience working with Medicare and Medicaid preferred.

Effective problem-solving abilities to address and resolve billing issues efficiently.
