Mastering the Mold: Shape the Future of Production
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Tool/Mold Maker to join our 3rd Shift team in Arlington, TX . This is a temp to permanent, full-time position dedicated to our overnight operations (10 PM – 6 AM), offering a critical role in maintaining our high-standard injection molding processes.
Key Responsibilities

Machining & Setup : Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, electrical discharge machines (EDM), and surface/cylindrical grinders.

Mold Maintenance : Perform mold repairs, tool assembly/disassembly, and process "Red Tag"work orders.

Precision Fabrication : Construct injection molds ranging from basic to high complexity, including building fixtures and gages as needed.

Revisions & Repairs : Execute engineering changes, revisions, and repairs to mold cavities and cores due to wear or damage.

Welding : Perform TIG/MIG and micro-welding.

Leadership : Instruct apprentices and other toolmakers on equipment setup; serve as a Project Leader on new molds or major revisions as assigned.

Safety & Order : Maintain a neat work area and strictly observe all health and safety requirements.
Qualifications & Skills

Experience : 5–10 years of mold-making, repair, and maintenance experience.

Education : High school diploma or GED.

Technical Expertise : Broad knowledge of molding and injection mold repair with the ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical issues.

Specialized Skills : Strong experience with stoning and polishing mold components.

Physical Requirements : Ability to stand or sit for 8–12 hours, perform overhead and below-the-waist work, and lift up to 40 lbs occasionally.
