The Lumper/Material Handler is responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate movement of tire inventory within the warehouse. This includes manually unloading inbound shipments, sorting, stocking, and preparing orders for outbound distribution. The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and strict adherence to all safety protocols while operating material handling equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Lumping/Unloading: Manually unload tires and other products from box trucks and containers, with individual tires weighing up to approximately 50 pounds, continuously throughout the shift.
Material Handling & Storage:
Receive, inspect, and accurately count incoming materials.
Stack and organize tires and other items in designated locations according to predetermined sequence or product code to ensure easy access and retrieval. Assist with organizing and maintaining a clean and orderly stock and/or materials storage area.
Order Fulfillment:
Pull orders from inventory, ensuring accurate quantity and quality objectives are met.
Pick and pack materials for shipment.
Palletize, wrap, and label finished stock and product for distribution and loading onto outbound trailers.
Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times, and maintaining a clean work area.
