Job Position: General Labor
Location: BROOKSHIRE, TX 77423
Pay Rate: $16.00/hr
Shift: 12:00 PM & 11:00 PM
Description: Typical Responsibilities of a General Concrete Laborer:
Job Site Preparation:
Clean and prepare surfaces and work areas.
Place forms (molds) for concrete pouring.
Install rebar or wire mesh.
Concrete Mixing and Pouring:
Assist in mixing concrete (by hand or using machinery).
Pour concrete into forms.
Use shovels, rakes, vibrators, and other tools to distribute it properly.
Leveling and Finishing:
Level and smooth concrete surfaces with tools such as straightedges, trowels, or floats.
Apply finishes according to design (broom finish, stamping, polishing, etc.).
Concrete Curing and Protection:
Cover fresh concrete to prevent it from drying too quickly.
Apply curing products.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
Clean tools, machinery, and the work area.
Perform general tasks such as moving materials, loading and unloading, etc.
Required Skills:
Good physical condition (heavy work and outdoor work).
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
Ability to follow instructions.
Attention to safety.
