Location: Rockwall/Greenville, TX
Pay Rate: $19.00 + /HR
Shift: Extrusion Schedule:
5:45 AM to 5:45 PM (Days) OR 5:45 PM to 5:45 AM (Nights)
A Shift (Day shift): Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, every other Wednesday.
B Shift (Night shift): Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Saturday.
C Shift (Day shift): Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday.
D Shift (Night shift): Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday.
Description: Extrusion Operator - Relocation Required to Greenville, TX
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Extrusion Operator who is willing to relocate to Greenville, TX. While initial training or temporary assignments may occur at our Rockwall, TX facility, the successful candidate's permanent placement will be in Greenville.
The Extrusion department is responsible for the critical process of melting and forming plastic products and operates in a non-climate-controlled, high-heat operational environment.
Location & Relocation Requirement
Permanent Location: Greenville, TX.
Relocation: The successful candidate must be willing to relocate to the Greenville area to accept this position.
Initial Assignment/Training: Be prepared for potential initial work or extended training periods at our Rockwall, TX facility (approx. 30-40 minutes away) before transitioning permanently to the Greenville plant.
Core Responsibilities
Operate and Monitor: Safely start, operate, adjust, and shut down plastic extrusion machinery (melts plastic) to produce high-quality film, pipe, or sheet products.
Extreme Conditions: Consistently work in a non-climate-controlled environment that is the company's hottest department due to the plastic melting process.
Work at Heights: Comfortably and safely ascend/descend multiple flights of stairs and work from elevated platforms, reaching heights up to 60 feet for operational tasks (material loading, cleaning, inspection).
Quality Control: Perform and document continuous quality checks (gauges, measurements, visual inspection) to ensure products meet exact specifications.
Material Handling: Load plastic raw materials (pellets, colorants) into the equipment, including managing material conveying systems.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve minor equipment and process issues promptly to minimize downtime in a high-pressure production setting.
Safety & Maintenance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA and company safety protocols, and perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance on machinery.
Qualifications and Experience
Relocation Commitment: Must be fully committed and willing to relocate to Greenville, TX.
Experience: 2+ years of experience as an Extrusion Operator, Machine Operator, or in a similar industrial/manufacturing role, preferably in plastics.
Physical Demands:
Ability to work in extreme heat for the duration of the shift.
Comfortable with heights and capable of frequent climbing (up to 60 feet).
Able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to read schematics/technical manuals, and experience with precision measurement tools.
