Description: Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Crater to join our team. This position involves building custom wooden crates used for shipping and storing various equipment and products. The ideal candidate will have experience with hand and power tools, strong measuring skills, and a good understanding of safe packing practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Measure, mark, cut, and assemble wood materials to build boxes according to project specifications.
Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
Apply blocking, reinforcing, and shock-absorbing materials as needed.
Follow packing instructions and work orders accurately.
Inspect and repair damaged boxes when necessary.
Keep the work area clean and organized, with a strong focus on safety.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Minimum 1 year of experience in packaging, carpentry, woodworking, or construction.
Ability to read measuring tapes, sketches, or basic plans.
Comfortable performing physical labor, lifting up to 50 pounds and working while standing.
You must follow safety protocols and use the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Willingness to learn and follow instructions in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
Experience operating forklifts is a plus.
Speaking Spanish is an advantage.
