Job Position: Wave Planner
Location: Dallas, TX 75227
Pay Rate: $18.84/hr 5AM-1:30PM M-F
Shift: 1st Shift
Description: Warehouse Wave Planner optimize warehouse productivity by strategically batching, scheduling, and releasing customer orders into efficient picking waves. This role acts as the operational bridge between order entry and floor execution to ensure on-time carrier departures.
Key Responsibilities
* Order Batching: Group and release outbound orders in a [Warehouse Management System (WMS)] according to priority and truck schedules.
* Workload Monitoring: Evaluate labor allocation across picking zones dynamically to prevent bottlenecks.
* Problem Resolution: Resolve order exceptions, inventory shortfalls, and system holds stalling production.
* Cross-Functional Communication: Coordinate directly with warehouse supervisors and logistics teams for consistent throughput.
Qualifications
* Experience: 2 to 4 years in high-volume distribution or fulfillment center operations.
* WMS Proficiency: Strong experience using professional WMS platforms
* Technical Skills: Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills for analyzing order data and inventory metrics.
