**Job Description:**
We are hiring dependable and hardworking associates for the Shipping Department at a rug distribution center. This position focuses on manually folding rugs by hand, preparing them for shipment, and ensuring products are handled properly throughout the shipping process. Associates will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment where teamwork, attention to detail, and productivity are essential.
**Job Duties and Responsibilities:**
- Fold rugs by hand according to company procedures and shipping requirements.
- Lift, handle, and move rugs throughout the shipping department.
- Prepare folded rugs for packaging, stacking, and shipment.
- Inspect rugs for proper folding and ensure products are handled carefully.
- Organize finished products and maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
- Follow all warehouse safety guidelines and company procedures.
- Work efficiently to meet daily production goals and shipping deadlines.
- Perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.
- Assist team members with additional shipping duties as needed.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver rugs of various sizes and weights.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and repetitive hand and arm movements.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding warehouse environment.
- Ability to maintain a consistent pace while handling rugs throughout the shift.
**Qualifications:**
- Previous warehouse, shipping, or material-handling experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
- Must be comfortable performing repetitive manual labor.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production expectations.
**Work Environment:**
This position takes place in a rug distribution warehouse and requires continuous physical activity. Associates must be prepared to handle rugs manually throughout the shift while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards.
