Position: Receiving Department – General Labor
We are hiring General Labor associates for the Receiving Department at a busy rug distribution center. This is a hands-on warehouse position responsible for receiving, unloading, inspecting, sorting, organizing, and moving rugs and other materials throughout the facility. Employees will work as part of a team to ensure incoming products are handled safely, efficiently, and accurately.
Job Duties:

Unload incoming rugs, materials, and products from trailers and trucks

Assist with receiving and organizing incoming shipments

Move rugs and materials from receiving areas to designated warehouse locations

Sort and organize rugs according to size, type, order, or department
-
Inspect incoming products for visible damage or packaging issues
-
Assist with counting and verifying products as needed
-
Safely lift, carry, push, pull, and move heavy rugs and materials
-
Work with team members to safely handle large, bulky, or oversized rugs
-
Stage incoming materials in the appropriate areas

Assist with loading and unloading trucks when needed
-
Keep receiving areas clean, organized, and free of unnecessary materials
-
Remove packaging materials and debris from work areas as needed
-
Follow instructions from supervisors and leads
-
Follow all warehouse safety procedures and proper lifting techniques
-
Maintain established productivity and quality standards

Work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment
-
Assist other warehouse departments with general labor duties when needed

Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform heavy lifting throughout the shift

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull rugs and other warehouse materials

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time

Ability to frequently bend, twist, reach, squat, and kneel

Ability to work in different positions while handling rugs and materials

Comfortable performing repetitive physical movements throughout the workday

Ability to safely handle large and bulky materials with assistance from other team members when necessary

Must be able to maintain productivity while performing physically demanding tasks
Requirements:

Previous warehouse, receiving, distribution, or material-handling experience is preferred but not required

Must be dependable and have reliable attendance

Must arrive on time and be ready to work at the scheduled start time

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
