Description: Job Summary:
A Tire Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and replacing tires on various types of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and commercial vehicles. They ensure proper tire installation and balance to enhance vehicle performance and safety. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect tires for wear, damage, and proper inflation
Remove and install tires on various vehicles
Repair punctured or damaged tires using appropriate tools and materials
Perform tire balancing and rotation to ensure even wear
Keep work are clean and organized
Provide excellent communication with front counter staff for customer recommendations
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
Previous experience as a tire technician (preferred but not required)
Ability to lift heavy tires and operate tire-changing equipment (with training)
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Good communication and customer service skills
Must be at least 18 years old
Work Environment:
Fast-paced automotive shop
Exposure to loud noises, machinery, and various weather conditions
Requires physical stamina, bending, and heavy lifting
$14-$18/hour depending on experience
