Job Position: SHIPPING & RECEIVING Customer Service
Location: Terrell, TX 75160
Pay Rate: $16.75/hr
Shift:NIGHT SUNDAY-THURSDAY 9PM-5:30AM TRAINING MON-FRIDAY 7AM-3PM
Summary:
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing and coordinating all inbound and outbound
shipment documentation within an office setting. This role serves as the primary point of contact for delivery
drivers, ensuring accurate processing of paperwork, clear communication with warehouse staff, and efficient
scheduling of loading and unloading activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet and check in all incoming and outgoing drivers in a professional manner
• Prepare, review, and process shipping and receiving documentation (bills of lading, packing slips,
invoices)
• Schedule appointment request based on schedule availability and through collaboration with
leadership or customer service
• Verify shipment details against system records for accuracy
• Assign and communicate dock door locations for loading and unloading
• Maintain accurate data entry in warehouse management or inventory systems
• Communicate with warehouse personnel to coordinate shipment flow
• Track incoming and outgoing shipments and update status as needed
• File and organize all shipping and receiving records
• Confirms all inbound and outbound orders
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to sit and work at a desk for extended periods
• Frequent use of a computer, phone, and office equipment
• Occasional standing or walking to interact with drivers or warehouse personnel
• Visual ability to read documents and computer screens.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects up to 50 lbs. regularly
Work Environment:
• Fast-paced environment with regular deadlines and time-sensitive tasks
• Noise levels may vary depending on warehouse activity and machinery
• Schedule may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holiday shifts, depending on
operational needs
Qualifications & Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or administrative support preferred
• Basic knowledge of shipping documentation (bills of lading, packing slips, etc.)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar systems
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software (preferred)
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
