Job Position: Shift Supervisor

Pay Rate: $29.00/hr
Shift: Floater, must be able to work second and third shifts

Description: Overview:
The Distribution Center Supervisor (Floater) oversees daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety in all distribution activities. This position manages associates across multiple shifts, monitors workflow, and maintains compliance with safety and operational standards. The role also acts as a key liaison between associates and management to promote communication, accountability, and operational excellence.
Essential Functions:
• Oversee 1st, 2nd, and eventually 3rd shift operations as required.
• Delegate, assign, and monitor daily tasks to ensure timely completion.
• Coach associates on quality and productivity through consistent feedback and QC checks.
• Manage accurate receiving, handling, and storage of inbound inventory.
• Inspect trailers for safety, cleanliness, and proper loading/unloading procedures.
• Follow up on customer returns and ensure timely restocking into inventory.
• Enforce safety standards to prevent incidents and promote a safety-first culture.
• Ensure all warehouse inventory is correctly labeled and stored in proper locations.
• Serve as a communication bridge between associates and management, relaying updates and reporting incidents.
• Ensure team members maintain current certifications, safety training, and performance evaluations.
• Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and ensure clear documentation across all shifts.
• Inspect facility cleanliness, organization, and equipment readiness.
• Monitor and ensure completion of equipment checklists and area cleaning duties.
• Maintain accurate operational records and secure the facility after shifts.
• Supervise inbound and outbound processes, ensuring orders are allocated, released, and pulled correctly in WMS.
• Conduct interviews and forklift driving tests for new hires.
• Flexibly cover varying day, night, and weekend shifts to support a 24/7 operation.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift Certification (Sit-down and Stand-up).
• Minimum 6 months experience as a Forklift Operator.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or lead warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience with inventory management and warehouse systems (WMS).
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs consistently.
• Strong math and data accuracy skills.
• Proven leadership ability and commitment to safety standards.
