Location: Grand Prairie, TX 75050
Pay Rate: $18.50/hr
Shift: 1st shift Mon - Thurs 4AM - 2:30PM (May require Fridays & Saturdays)
2nd shift Mon - Thurs 3PM - 1:30AM (May require Fridays & Saturdays)
Description:
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Roto Mold Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end fabrication of hollow plastic products, from raw material loading to final part finishing. This is a physically active position that requires a "safety-first"mindset and a keen eye for detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Core Responsibilities

Machine Setup & Operation: Weigh and load precise amounts of polymer resin into molds; secure mold clamps and initiate oven cycles.

Part Extraction: Safely remove cooled parts from molds using hand tools and overhead cranes (where applicable).

Finishing & Secondary Operations: Use de-burring tools, routers, and torches to trim excess material (flash) and ensure a smooth, professional finish.

Quality Assurance: Conduct visual and manual inspections to check for wall thickness consistency, color defects, and structural integrity.

Preventative Maintenance: Clean molds and apply release agents; perform basic troubleshooting on machinery to minimize downtime.

Documentation: Maintain accurate production logs, including cycle times, scrap counts, and material usage.
Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (Plastic molding experience is a significant plus).

Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for long durations, and work comfortably in high-temperature conditions.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with basic hand and power tools (drills, grinders, pneumatic knives).

Attention to Detail: Ability to follow complex "recipes"for resin blends and timing cycles without deviation.

Safety Conscious: Strict adherence to OSHA standards, including PPE requirements and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
