Job Position: Rework Tech (Cold Soldering)

Location: Wilmer, TX 75172

Pay Rate: This role offers a pay rate of $21.00 per hour, with the possibility of higher compensation based on experience.

Shift: The position involves working 12-hour shifts, with schedules of 6 am to 6pm or 6 pm to 6am. The work schedule follows a 3/4 day rotation (Sunday-Wednesday and Wednesday-Saturday) with every other Wednesday off, in a 24/7 operational manufacturing environment.

Description:

As a Rework Operator, you will be crucial in the day-to-day rework of solar modules, ensuring adherence to strict quality and safety standards. This involves using specialized soldering equipment to precisely connect wires to each other and to soldering pads. You will be responsible for ensuring the soldering process is accurate and that the final product meets all quality standards. Additional responsibilities may include training other team members, maintaining soldering equipment, and documenting all repair activities.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

* Demonstrating a proactive and dependable work ethic.

* Maintaining a clean and organized work area using 5S principles.

* Effectively communicating production updates to the incoming shift.

* Performing all duties with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.

* Maintaining soldering and workstation equipment.

* Conducting repairs on cell strings and modules.

* Utilizing test equipment to verify the temperature of workstations and soldering irons.

* Verifying the quality of soldering through imaging and electrical testing.

* Assembling circuits requiring precise manual dexterity.

* Verifying cell grade, manufacturer, and color series by accurately reading labels.

* Completing other tasks as directed by leadership.

The ideal candidate will possess:

* The ability to understand technical documents, manuals, and instructions.

* The capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment to meet production goals.

* Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with the team.

* The ability to work both independently and as a team player.

* A preference for candidates with one year or more of soldering experience.
