Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Press Operator to join our production team. This role is responsible for printing on plastic film/products using advanced printing machinery.

Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor the printing press (e.g., flexographic or rotogravure) to ensure high-quality output on plastic substrates.

Color and Registration: Manage ink mixing, match specified colors, and maintain precise print registration throughout the run.

Quality Assurance: Continuously inspect printed material for defects, streaks, or inconsistencies, and make immediate adjustments to maintain quality standards.

Plate/Cylinder Handling: Mount, align, and clean printing plates or cylinders, ensuring they are correctly positioned.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve minor mechanical or printing issues (e.g., blanket washes, paper jams, inking problems) quickly and efficiently.

Documentation: Complete accurate production logs, waste reports, and maintenance checklists.

Work Environment Requirements
Climate Control: The pressroom is climate-controlled; however, operators will frequently be required to work near or enter non-climate-controlled areas of the plant (e.g., staging or storage), meaning temperatures can fluctuate.

Odor Comfort: Candidates must be comfortable with strong smells, as the air in and around the presses frequently carries a strong odor of printing inks and solvents.

Physical Demands: Requires standing for long periods, bending, lifting (moderate), and excellent color vision for matching and checking print quality.

Qualifications and Experience
Prior experience (2+ years) as a Press Operator, preferably working with flexographic, rotogravure, or web printing on plastic film or packaging materials.

Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with machine setup and troubleshooting.

Demonstrated ability to maintain high quality standards under production deadlines.

Excellent attention to detail, particularly concerning color, registration, and consistency.

Must be able to tolerate and comfortably work around strong odors from printing inks and solvents.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate production issues clearly.
