Job Position: Manufacturing Facility-Junior Accountant

Pay Rate: $33.00/hr Plus D.O.E
Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Plano. This role is designed for a professional who thrives in a manufacturing environment and possesses a strong technical foundation in accounting. You will be responsible for ensuring financial accuracy through meticulous job costing, reconciliation, and compliance monitoring, while collaborating closely with project management and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting: Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
Job Costing & Billing: Review job contracts, prepare detailed job costing spreadsheets, and coordinate with Project Managers on progress billing and collections.
Compliance & Auditing: Conduct SOX audits and monitor cycle count programs to ensure adherence to company guidelines and internal controls.
Accounts Payable: Manage the full AP cycle, ensuring the validity of debts, securing necessary signatures, and maintaining timely payment schedules.
Asset Management: Oversee the fixed asset register, ensuring proper documentation and accurate monthly depreciation calculations.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing setting.
Technical Proficiency: * Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
Experience with ERP systems.
Soft Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong time management and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while remaining a collaborative team player.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in QuickBooks.
Experience using AVALARA for sales tax automation.
Prior experience in a high-volume manufacturing or production environment.
