Job Position: Maintenance Mechanic / Fabricator

Pay Rate: $28.00/hr (DOE)
Description: Maintenance Mechanic / Fabricator (CNC & Welding)
A growing manufacturing operation is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic / Fabricator to support equipment maintenance, repairs, and in-house fabrication. This hands-on role is responsible for troubleshooting mechanical issues, machining replacement parts, performing welding and fabrication work, and helping improve equipment reliability and uptime.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment including motors, conveyors, pumps, valves, and related systems.
Perform preventive maintenance and respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
Operate machining equipment such as CNC machines, lathes, mills/routers, drill presses, and grinders.
Fabricate parts, guards, brackets, and custom fixtures to support production equipment.
Perform welding on aluminum, stainless steel, and steel (TIG preferred, MIG acceptable when appropriate).
Read and interpret basic blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings.
Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and support continuous equipment improvements.
Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, and maintain an organized work area.
Requirements
3+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic, industrial mechanic, or fabricator in a manufacturing environment.
Experience operating machining equipment such as CNC machines, lathes, mills, or routers.
Strong welding skills with aluminum and stainless steel (TIG preferred).
Ability to use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to perform root cause analysis.
Ability to work independently and respond effectively in fast-paced environments.
Preferred
Experience in food, beverage, or packaging manufacturing environments.
Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge.
Familiarity with ERP or CMMS maintenance tracking systems.
Forklift or lift equipment certification.
Compensation: Based on experience and skill level.
