About the Role
Core Personnel Staffing is hiring a Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing client in Carrollton, TX. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for a hands-on tech who enjoys troubleshooting and keeping production running. You'll perform general mechanical and industrial electrical maintenance on production and grounds equipment, including rebuilds, controls troubleshooting, and general repairs. You'll work with pumps, hydraulics, conveyors, and pneumatics, and support machine installation, construction, and facility maintenance.
Please note: training takes place on 1st shift, and the permanent schedule after training is 3rd shift (11pm – 7am). Candidates must be available for both.
What You'll Do

Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance repairs and respond quickly to emergency line calls

Complete preventative maintenance on all machines

Maintain and service HVAC, compressors, facilities equipment, and powered industrial vehicles

Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on extruders, conveyors, and packaging equipment

Set up equipment for product changeovers and start-ups, and monitor cleaning to prevent damage from improper use

Perform basic computer tasks such as data entry, inventory lookups, and logging downtime comments and minutes

Set up and operate a variety of power tools and equipment

Read and interpret meters and gauges
What You'll Need

High school diploma or GED
-
2+ years of industrial maintenance experience

Specialized training in welding or fabrication

Solid knowledge of industrial mechanical principles, including hydraulics, pneumatics, electric motors, controls, and wiring

Availability to train on 1st shift and transition to 3rd shift
Nice to Have

Ability to read wiring schematics
