Description: A Manual Weiler machinist is a skilled tradesperson who operates Weiler brand manual lathes (or similar conventional machine tools) to produce precision metal parts.
Job description:
Must have 2 years of most recent experience
Reading blueprints and technical drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances.
Setting up and operating manual Weiler lathes for turning, facing, threading, boring, and other machining operations.
Selecting and preparing cutting tools and adjusting feeds and speeds for different materials.
Measuring and inspecting finished components with micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure accuracy.
Maintaining machines and tools, including sharpening, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting.
Working to high precision standards, often in industries like aerospace, automotive, tooling, or custom fabrication.
Experience with threads ( rotary connections, IE, IF threads
Must have own tools & toolbox
