Job Position: Injection Molding Process Technician

Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled, safety-driven Mold Setter / Injection Molding Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for setting up, installing, and maintaining molds for injection molding machines, optimizing machine performance, and ensuring the highest standards of product quality.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Machine Setup & Preparation: Prepare manufacturing machines for mold placement and safely position, align, and bolt molds into injection molding machines.

Auxiliary Connections: Connect and secure vital auxiliary lines, including water/coolant lines, knockout bars, hydraulic lines, pneumatic air lines, electrical switches, hoppers, dryers, and material conveyors.

Process Controls: Regulate and monitor the precise flow of raw production materials and liquid coolants entering the machinery.

Quality Monitoring: Continuously monitor the molding cycle for defects, warpage, or structural issues and implement minor machine parameters adjustments on the fly.

Preventative Maintenance: Clean mold faces and core surfaces during active production runs to prevent flash, buildup, and tool wear.

Advanced Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical failures or process drift during tool operations and collaborate to fix machine-related equipment problems.

Material Handling: Assist with plant logistics by feeding raw materials into hoppers, clearing staging lines, transporting finished goods, and configuring assembly tables for production runs.

Managerial Directives: Perform other production tasks and cross-functional duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
Qualifications & Skills

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of related setup or mechanical experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment is required.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; capability to perform basic mathematical calculations, read technical parameters, and write production logs.

Technical Literacy: Basic computer data entry skills to navigate production monitoring systems.

Physical Coordination: Excellent manual dexterity and rapid hand-eye coordination for handling tooling components safely.

Problem Solving: Sound judgment and strong decision-making skills to prioritize multiple hot tasks in an active plant setting.
Physical Demands & Work Environment

Physical Agility: Requires consistent physical exertion including lifting up to 50 pounds daily, walking, bending, twisting, crouching, kneeling, and squatting.

Environment: Operated within a non-climate-controlled plant environment exposed to seasonal temperature shifts, heavy machinery noise, and chemical elements.

Safety Compliance: Mandatory usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, hearing protection, and appropriate footwear in designated zones.
