Hydraulic Mechanical Assembly Operator
Location: Katy, TX 77493
Pay Rate: $17.00 / hour
Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Monday – Friday)
About the Role
Core Personnel Staffing Services is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Assembly Operator to join the assembly line of a leading global manufacturer of high-precision hydraulic components at their facility in Katy, TX.
In this role, you will prepare dedicated work areas, assemble mechanical parts and hydraulic motors according to technical drawings, and perform quality checks on finished components—including test stands and paint line operations.
Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Assembly: Assemble hydraulic motors, mechanical parts, and sub-assemblies following strict work instructions and routing times.

Blueprint & Schematic Reading: Read, interpret, and follow mechanical technical drawings and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Quality Assurance & Inspection: Verify part quality, dimensional accuracy, and visual aspect; report defects or non-compliance immediately to team leadership.

Equipment & Workstation Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized 5S workstation environment; assist in continuous improvement and safety efforts.

Cross-Training & Reporting: Learn and rotate across multiple assembly stations after internal training; provide clear daily production updates to your Team Leader.
Job Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: Previous experience in a production, machining, or mechanical assembly environment is required.

Technical Ability: Demonstrated ability to read and understand technical drawings and work instructions.

Attention to Detail: Strong understanding of machined parts constraints (tolerances, surface quality, and visual inspection).

Work Ethic: Motivated, dynamic, punctual, and safety-conscious with strong communication skills.

Physical Demands: Ability to perform manual mechanical assembly tasks throughout the shift.
