Job Description: Rug Unloading Specialist (Heavy Labor)
We are seeking physically resilient and hardworking individuals to join our warehouse team as Rug Unloading Specialists . This is a high-intensity role that requires stamina, strength, and the ability to maintain a steady pace in a demanding environment.
You will be responsible for the manual offloading of rugs from inbound trailers, ensuring that inventory is handled safely and efficiently to keep our supply chain moving.
Key Responsibilities

Manual Unloading: Physically unload rug shipments from trailers for shifts lasting 8 hours or more.

Heavy Lifting: Perform continuous, repetitive lifting and carrying of rugs. You will frequently handle items weighing 50 lbs or more throughout the duration of your shift.

Inventory Organization: Sort and stack unloaded rugs according to size, type, or SKU as directed by warehouse leads.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to prevent injury.

Efficiency: Maintain a consistent pace to ensure trailers are cleared within designated timeframes.
Working Conditions

High Physical Demand: This role involves constant standing, walking, bending, and lifting.

Temperature Extremes: You must be prepared to work in a hot environment . Temperatures inside the trailers can be significantly higher than the ambient warehouse temperature.

Fast-Paced Environment: Work is performed in a busy shipping/receiving dock area.
Qualifications

Physical Strength: Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly for an 8-hour shift.

Endurance: Capability to perform strenuous labor in elevated temperatures.

Reliability: Strong work ethic and a track record of consistent attendance.

Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with a partner or team to clear trailers quickly.

Experience: Previous experience in warehouse unloading, construction, or heavy manual labor is highly preferred.
