Job Position: Material Handler
Location: Allen, TX 75013
Pay Rate: $18.00/hr
Shift: 1st 7am-5pm
Description: Key Responsibilities:
Receiving and Inspecting Materials:
Checking incoming deliveries to ensure all materials meet quality standards and verifying the accuracy of shipments.
Placing materials in designated locations within the warehouse, following established procedures to maximize space and efficiency.
Accurately tracking and documenting the location and quantity of materials within the warehouse.
Packaging, labeling, and preparing materials for loading onto trucks or delivery vehicles.
Delivering materials to the production floor as needed, ensuring production lines have what they need to operate.
Adhering to all safety guidelines and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
Skills and Qualifications:
The ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy materials for extended periods.
Accuracy in inventory management and the ability to spot discrepancies.
The ability to maintain an organized warehouse and ensure materials are stored and accessed efficiently.
The ability to work effectively with other warehouse staff and supervisors.
The ability to communicate clearly with others, both verbally and in writing.
A strong understanding of safety procedures and the ability to follow them.
The ability to perform basic calculations related to inventory and measurements.
The ability to use computer systems for inventory management and other tasks.
Experience:
Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting, particularly with material handling equipment, is often preferred.
