Job Position: Forklift Operator
Location: Dallas, TX 75227
Pay Rate: $18.84/hr
Shift: 1st Shift
Description: Responsible for the safe and accurate movement, storage, and retrieval of product within a warehouse environment, primarily utilizing a stand-up reach forklift. Operators are responsible for meeting set productivity goals and maintaining the integrity of the product and work area.
Duties and Responsibilities
Material Handling: Safely operate a stand-up reach truck to put away and retrieve products in high-bay racking systems.
Shipping & Receiving: Load and unload materials from trucks and containers at the loading dock
Inventory Control: Verify and count freight for accuracy and maintain accurate records of materials moved using warehouse computers and RF equipment.15
Replenishment & Picking: Replenish product to full pallet or hand stack pick locations from reserve locations.
Safety & Maintenance: Complete daily equipment safety checks and maintenance logs for the forklift and report any malfunctions or damage immediately to a supervisor.
Warehouse Support: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, and provide general support to other warehouse functions and staff as needed.
Physical Demands: Observe proper lifting techniques and physical work practices, often involving the ability to lift and/or move up to 50-60 pounds
