Job Position: Extrusion Helper (All Shifts) Greenville TX
Role: Extrusion Production Support Helper → Maintenance Operator / Technician
Location: Rockwall, TX 75032
Pay Rate: $17.75/hr
Environment: Non-climate-controlled plant (hottest department; plastic melting process).
Shift Options: 12-hour shifts (5:45 AM – 5:45 PM Days OR 5:45 PM – 5:45 AM Nights) on 3-4 day rotational schedules (A, B, C, or D Shift).
Position Overview
The Extrusion Helper supports the primary step in plastic production. This fast-paced, high-pressure role ensures continuous operations across extrusion lines through raw material staging, roll handling, packaging, and scrap management. Candidates must be comfortable working around high heat and climbing multi-level stairs/ladders up to 60 feet high .
Core Job Duties

Line & Roll Operations: Cycle and unload film winders; wrap finished pallets for staging.

Material Management: Request and stage new raw materials; remove unused materials from production areas; weigh finished goods.

Labeling & Documentation: Create and apply accurate finished-good labels.

Equipment & Inventory Transfer: Drive a sit-down forklift (once certified by SPR Packaging) to relocate rolls and heavy pallets.

Housekeeping: Keep machines, platforms, and work floors clean and free of hazards.

Role-Specific Assignments (Internal Alignment):

1B Material Handler: Primary focus on material movement, forklift staging, and resin supply.

1A/1C Helper (FFS): Line support and automated Form-Fill-Seal packaging assist.

1B Recycler: Scrap processing, resin reclamation, and grinder operations.

1A Rewinder: Salvaging, trimming, and inspecting off-spec rolls.

1D Extrusion General: Multi-line utility support, elevated die cleaning assistance, and break coverage.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education & Skills

High school diploma or equivalent.

Basic computer skills (for finished good labeling and basic tracking).

Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
Physical & Environmental Demands

Heights: Comfortable climbing multiple line ladders and platforms up to 60 feet high.

Lifting: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.

Heat: Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled, high-heat industrial environment.
