Job Position: EPJ Case Picker
Location: Dallas, TX 75227
Pay Rate: $19.34/hr
Shift: 2nd Shift 2PM-10:30PM M-F
Description: Safely operate motorized pallet jacks to select, build, and transport customer orders in a fast-paced warehouse. Responsibilities include using RF scanners or voice-picking systems to locate items, accurately building pallets, wrapping them for shipment, and conducting pre-shift equipment safety checks.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Order Selection: Accurately pick products from warehouse racks based on customer orders, voice commands, or RF scanning technology.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate electric pallet jacks (riding or walkie) to move products from storage to staging areas.
Pallet Building: Build stable, properly arranged pallets by stacking products, ensuring they are secure and ready for shipping.
Verification: Validate picked items for accuracy, including verifying product codes, lot numbers, and checking for damage.
Safety and Maintenance: Perform pre-shift inspections of equipment, adhere to OSHA standards, and maintain a clean, safe work area.
Wrap and Stage: Shrink-wrap finished palletized orders and deliver them to designated loading docks.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience operating an electric pallet jack or working in a distribution center is often required.
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 25–50+ lbs consistently, along with frequent bending, stooping, and standing for long periods.
Technology Proficiency: Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), voice-picking systems, or RF scanners.
Efficiency: Ability to work quickly to meet daily production quotas while maintaining high accuracy.
Working Conditions:
This role is in a non-climate controlled environment.
The work is fast-paced, often requiring team collaboration to clear aisles and maintain productivity.
