Job Position: Distribution Facility: Inventory Control / Cycle Counter
Location: Forney, TX 75216
Pay Rate: $17.00/hr
Shift: Mon-Friday 7am-5pm Flexible Saturdays
Description: As an Inventory Control/Cycle Counter, you are the guardian of accuracy. You won't just be counting boxes; you’ll be ensuring that our physical stock perfectly matches our digital records. Your precision allows our warehouse operations to run smoothly and ensures our customers get exactly what they ordered, right on time.
Key Responsibilities
Cycle Counting: Conduct daily physical counts of inventory based on generated schedules or specific requests.
Discrepancy Research: Investigate "shorts"or overages by reviewing transaction histories within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Location Management: Ensure that product is stored in the correct locations and that "honeycombing"(inefficient space usage) is minimized.
Quality Assurance: Identify damaged goods or packaging issues and initiate the proper rework or disposal process.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate reach trucks, cherry pickers, or pallet jacks to access inventory at various heights.
Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to all Barrett Distribution safety protocols.
Qualifications & Skills
Detail Oriented: You have a "detective"mindset and notice when something is even slightly off.
Technical Savvy: Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and RF scanners is highly preferred.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs consistently throughout a shift.
Math Skills: Strong basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
Certification: Prior experience or willingness to be trained on MHE (Material Handling Equipment).
