Job Position: CNC Turret Operator

Description: Key Responsibilities: 1. Machine Set-Up Load and install correct tooling (dies, punches) in turret. Secure parts on the machine bed for alignment. Load and calibrate CNC programs to match job specs. 2. Program Review Read blueprints and CAD files to understand job requirements. Review and, if necessary, modify CNC codes for efficiency and accuracy. Run test simulations to verify program correctness. 3. Quality Control Use precision tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to inspect finished parts. Monitor tooling for wear and replace when necessary. Ensure production output meets all specifications. 4. Maintenance & Troubleshooting Perform preventative maintenance (lubrication, inspections). Diagnose and resolve machine malfunctions or tooling issues. Make real-time adjustments to maintain part quality. 5. Safety & Compliance Follow all machine and workplace safety protocols. Wear required PPE (glasses, gloves, etc.). Maintain a clean and hazard-free workspace. 6. Documentation & Reporting Record setup specs, tooling used, and part production logs. Report issues, breakdowns, and tool conditions to supervisors. Maintain accurate documentation of downtime and production performance. 7. Workplace Improvement Apply 5S practices (sort, straighten, shine, standardize, sustain). Participate in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and SIMS initiatives. Skills & Qualifications: Knowledge of CNC programming (G-code), machine operations, and controls. Ability to read blueprints, CAD files, and perform accurate measurements. Strong math skills (geometry, trigonometry). Mechanical aptitude with both electrical and mechanical systems. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. High attention to detail and safety compliance.
