CNC Machinist and Programmer
Core Personnel Staffing | Roanoke, TX | Temp-to-Hire | Day Shift, 40 hrs/week, minimal OT | $30.00–$40.00/hour based on experience
Core Personnel Staffing is hiring a CNC Machinist and Programmer for a custom aluminum wheel manufacturing shop in the Roanoke, TX area. This is a hands-on production role for someone who can program, set up, and run CNC equipment independently in a small, quality-focused team.
What You'll Do

Set up and operate CNC machines per work orders, blueprints, and customer specs

Program and verify jobs in Mastercam against engineering diagrams, including metric-to-inch conversions

Run Haas CNC machines for custom wheel cuts, drilling, and precision cap engraving

Perform wheel drilling for bolt patterns, center bores, offsets/backspacing, and custom cuts

Conduct in-process inspections and adjust tooling, speeds, and feeds for precision

Troubleshoot production or quality issues and maintain accurate documentation

Move wheels to and from machines (manual lifting up to 50 lbs, team assistance available)
What We're Looking For

Proven CNC experience (Haas preferred) and Mastercam proficiency

Aluminum automotive wheel/rim experience strongly preferred, including bolt patterns, offsets/backspacing, custom cuts, milling, and finishing

Strong blueprint reading, precision measurement, and quality inspection skills

Comfortable with metric-to-inch conversions

Strong communication and organizational skills for a small team

Ability to work independently and lift up to 50 lbs manually
