Job Summary

The Cold Kitchen Assembly Associate is responsible for assembling airline meal trays and plated food items in a refrigerated production environment. This role requires standing at a prep table for extended periods while maintaining focus, consistency, portion control, and strict food safety standards in cold temperatures.

The ideal candidate is dependable, mentally focused, comfortable working in cold conditions, and able to maintain productivity with repetitive tasks and minimal movement throughout the shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble airline meal trays and plated food items according to company and airline specifications

  • Maintain accurate portion sizes, food presentation, and quality standards

  • Work efficiently on a cold kitchen production line while meeting production deadlines

  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and temperature control procedures at all times

  • Monitor products to ensure proper cold holding temperatures are maintained

  • Keep prep tables, workstations, and surrounding areas clean and organized

  • Communicate with supervisors regarding shortages, quality concerns, or production issues

  • Handle food products carefully to prevent contamination or waste

  • Wear required PPE and appropriate cold-weather clothing throughout shifts

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in refrigerated cold kitchen areas with below-normal temperatures

  • Employees stand at prep tables for long periods with limited movement

  • Repetitive hand and assembly work required throughout the shift

  • Employees must be mentally focused and attentive to detail while working in cold conditions

  • Proper cold-weather clothing and layered attire are recommended for comfort and safety

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Previous food production, assembly line, catering, or kitchen experience preferred

  • Comfortable working in cold temperatures for extended periods

  • Ability to stand for long hours during shifts

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality required
