We’re looking for a driven, relationship-focused Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team in Austin, TX. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced staffing professional who thrives on building client partnerships, identifying new business opportunities, and turning relationships into long-term revenue growth.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in expanding our presence across the light industrial, hospitality, event staffing, and general clerical markets. You’ll have the autonomy to develop your territory, build a strong client portfolio, and partner closely with recruiting and operations to deliver workforce solutions that make a measurable impact.

What You’ll Do
Business Development & Sales
Identify, prospect, and pursue new business opportunities within target markets.
Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline from prospecting through contract close.
Conduct client presentations, discovery meetings, proposals, and contract negotiations.
Develop customized workforce solutions based on each client’s staffing needs.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and sales activity in Zenople.
Consistently work toward and achieve established sales and revenue goals.
Client Relationship Management
Serve as a trusted point of contact and strategic partner for clients.
Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers.
Conduct regular business reviews to understand client needs, performance, and opportunities for growth.
Partner with recruiting and operations teams to ensure a high level of service and successful workforce delivery.
Provide clients with valuable insights into labor market conditions, talent availability, and staffing trends.
Market & Business Strategy
Monitor local market conditions, industry trends, and competitive activity to identify opportunities.
Stay informed on applicable labor and employment regulations that may impact clients and workforce solutions.
Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and develop new revenue streams.
Provide market feedback and insights that help shape sales strategies, branding, and positioning.
Collaboration & Growth
Work closely with recruiting and operations to ensure client expectations are consistently met.
Participate in business strategy and account planning sessions.
Share client and market feedback to help improve processes, service offerings, and overall client experience.
Contribute to a collaborative, performance-driven team environment.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience in the staffing industry, preferably in business development, sales, or account management.
Strong understanding of the light industrial and staffing industries.
Proven ability to generate new business and build a sustainable sales pipeline.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and consultative selling skills.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and resilient.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce, Bullhorn, Zenople, or similar platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in workforce solutions, managed services, or vendor management.
Knowledge of staffing-related compliance requirements, including OSHA, EEOC, and FLSA.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Human Resources, or a related field.
Proven track record of B2B sales success within the staffing industry.
