Description: The Structural Foam Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of foam production equipment used in the manufacturing process. This role involves setting up machinery, monitoring production, ensuring the quality of all finished foam components, and preparing materials for shipment. The operator is expected to adhere strictly to all safety and quality control standards in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and perform daily maintenance on foam processing and machining equipment, including thermal bonders, routers, and die presses. Monitor machine performance, adjust settings for optimal output, and troubleshoot basic equipment issues as they arise. Read and accurately interpret blueprints, shop orders, engineering prints, and Bill of Materials to plan production sequence and maximize material usage. Measure materials and finished products, ensuring all foam components meet dimensional and quality specifications. Inspect finished products for defects to maintain established quality and quantity standards. Safely load and unload raw materials and finished products, which requires the ability to perform heavy lifting. Stack, pack, seal, and label finished materials for palletization and shipment. Follow all company safety precautions, guidelines, and procedures. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area according to 5S cleaning and organizing requirements.
