Position Overview

• Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)

• Compensation: $18.00 per hour

• Location: Ft. Worth, TX

Job Summary

We are seeking an efficient and reliable Shipping Clerk to join our team for a 6-week temporary contract . The primary responsibility of this role is to assist the warehouse and logistics team in preparing, documenting, and processing daily outbound shipments. This position requires strong computer literacy and the ability to work seamlessly in a fast-paced environment to meet daily shipping deadlines.

Core Responsibilities

• Order Preparation: Safely package, label, and prepare domestic products for shipment according to company standards.

• Data Entry & Tracking: Use company computer systems to input shipping data, track packages, and verify order accuracy.

• Documentation: Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel to maintain digital logs, update spreadsheets, and print necessary shipping documents or labels.

• Inventory Control: Verify that physical inventory matches picking slips before sealing packages.

• Workplace Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free shipping dock and workstation.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum Required Skills:

• Computer Literacy: Strong proficiency navigating computer operating systems.

• Software: Basic to intermediate skills using Microsoft Excel (data entry, viewing spreadsheets) and Microsoft Word (generating forms/memos).

• Reliability: Exceptional punctuality and commitment to completing the full 6-week assignment.

• Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for the duration of an 8-hour shift, and comfortably lift/move boxes weighing up to 40–50 lbs .

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Qualifications:

• Domestic Shipping Experience: Prior experience handling domestic carrier systems (such as UPS, FedEx, or USPS) or general warehouse logistics is highly preferred but not required.
