Job Position: Business Development Manager

Location: Pasadena, TX 77505

Compensation: $70k - $80k base plus commissions

Description:

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market presence by acquiring new clients and maintaining strong relationships in the light industrial, hospitality, event staffing, and general clerical verticals. This role involves identifying business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and ensuring client satisfaction to meet revenue and profitability goals.

In addition to a competitive base salary, this position offers a strong commission structure, providing excellent earning potential for high performers.


Key Responsibilities & Expectations
This role centers on driving business growth and revenue in the light industrial, hospitality, and clerical sectors through the following key functions:
Business Development & Sales: Identify new opportunities, manage a client pipeline, present solutions, negotiate contracts, and maintain accurate data in Zenople.
Client Relationship Management: Act as the main point of contact, conduct business reviews, collaborate with internal recruiting, and provide expert labor market insights to clients.
Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence: Monitor industry trends and local/federal labor laws to proactively suggest workforce solutions and identify growth areas.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support: Work with operations and recruiting teams to ensure service delivery, participate in strategy sessions, and provide feedback on branding and market positioning.
Performance & Revenue Growth: Focus on meeting sales quotas, optimizing profitability through effective pricing, and improving client retention.

Qualifications
Required:
Atleast 2 years of staffing industry experience.
Strong understanding of the light industrial sector and staffing industry.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and consultative selling skills.
Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
Self-motivated with strong goal-orientation and resilience.
Excellent, clear and concise communication skills
Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce, Bullhorn, or equivalent).

Preferred:
Experience in workforce solutions, managed services, or vendor management.
Knowledge of compliance regulations related to staffing (OSHA, EEOC, FLSA).
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or related field.
Proven track record in B2B sales within the staffing industry.
