Pay Rate: $18.00/hr
Shift: 1st Shift | 5:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed)
Environment: COLD Food Storage Warehouse (Freezing Temperatures)
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and vigilant Quality Assurance (QA) Technician to join our 1st shift team at our Denton cold storage facility. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety, integrity, and compliance of our food storage inventory by conducting rigorous audits, inspections, and product testing. The ideal candidate will have strong recordkeeping skills and a professional background in quality assurance within a manufacturing or cold storage environment.

Product Auditing: Audits incoming materials, raw goods, and finished food products on the floor to guarantee adherence to strict client and regulatory standards.

Sample Collection: Safely collects, documents, and tracks product samples from the cold storage floor for mandatory quality and safety evaluations.

Specification Compliance: Cross-checks inventory attributes against formal product specifications, quality standards, and structural audit requirements.

Recordkeeping: Completes detailed, legible, and accurate quality logs, inspection reports, and regulatory documentation daily.

Cold Chain Inspection: Monitors and documents facility and trailer temperatures to verify that cold chain integrity is perfectly preserved.

Issue Escalation: Identifies non-conforming products or safety infractions and immediately alerts supervisors and operations teams to initiate holds or corrective actions.

Workplace Sanitation: Ensures all testing areas and stations adhere to strict food safety hygiene requirements, performing daily housekeeping duties.
Qualifications

Experience (Non-Negotiable): Proven professional Quality Assurance experience within a warehouse, manufacturing, food-grade, or cold storage environment is strictly required. Direct, hands-on experience auditing materials and finished goods is mandatory.

Skills (Non-Negotiable): * Demonstrated ability to collect, document, label, and track product samples efficiently.

Strong recordkeeping, file maintenance, and data documentation skills.

Deep understanding of product specifications, internal quality standards, and formal audit requirements.

Preferred Qualifications: Prior QA experience specifically working inside high-volume cold storage facilities or food distribution centers.

Physical Requirements: Must be comfortable and willing to work the entire shift in a cold storage warehouse facility experiencing freezing temperatures. Must be able to stand, walk, and navigate the warehouse floor for extended periods and routinely lift up to 50 lbs. (Proper thermal personal protective equipment will be required/provided).
