Pay Rate: Starting at $17.75/hr + Pay Depending on Experience
Schedule:

Day Shift: 5:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Night Shift: 5:30 PM – 5:30 AM
A Shift (Day shift): Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, every other Saturday.
B Shift (Night shift): Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Saturday.
D Shift (Night shift): Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday.
Press Operator – Plastic Bag Manufacturing
Department: Press (2nd Step in the Manufacturing Process)
Job Summary
The Press Department is responsible for printing logos, graphics, product information, and other designs onto plastic film used in the production of plastic bags. Press Operators are responsible for operating and monitoring printing equipment, maintaining print quality, and ensuring efficient production while following safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and monitor printing press equipment.

Load and unload plastic film rolls and production materials.

Ensure print quality, color consistency, and proper print alignment.

Monitor production runs and make adjustments as needed.

Maintain ink supplies and other production materials.

Inspect products for defects and report quality concerns.

Complete production documentation and machine reports.

Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.

Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards.

Assist with troubleshooting minor machine issues and communicate larger concerns to supervisors.
Work Environment

The Press Department is the second step in the plastic bag manufacturing process.

Employees work around printing equipment that applies designs and product information to plastic film.

The department is climate controlled; however, employees may work near non-climate-controlled production areas and should be comfortable with occasional exposure to warmer temperatures.

Strong ink odors are present throughout portions of the department. Candidates must be comfortable working around these smells for extended periods.

Fast-paced manufacturing environment with moving machinery and production deadlines.
Requirements

Manufacturing, warehouse, machine operator, or printing press experience preferred.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout a 12-hour shift.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Strong attention to detail and quality control.

Ability to work safely around machinery and production equipment.

Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Ability to work overtime when required.
Preferred Qualifications

Previous printing press, manufacturing, or plastic production experience.

Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Experience working in a production environment.
