Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team. The MIG Welder will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal parts and structures using gas metal arc welding (GMAW/MIG) techniques. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and a commitment to producing high-quality work in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
Perform MIG welding on various metals including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents to determine job requirements.
Set up welding machines and adjust settings for proper weld penetration and bead size.
Inspect and measure finished welds to ensure quality standards and specifications are met.
Grind, cut, or clean metal parts as needed to prepare surfaces for welding.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety policies and procedures.
Perform basic maintenance on welding equipment and report any malfunctions.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a MIG Welder or in a similar role.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Knowledge of welding safety practices and procedures.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
Ability to lift up to 50 and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with other welding methods (TIG, Stick) is a plus.
Familiarity with fabrication tools such as grinders, saws, and torches.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
