Material Handler

Location: San Marcos, TX
Pay Rate:$22.00 per hour
Shift:

• Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

• Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Material Handler to join our warehouse team in San Marcos, TX. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on experience operating forklifts and handling materials in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

The Material Handler will be responsible for safely moving, staging, loading, unloading, and storing materials throughout the facility, including high-bay warehouse racking systems. This position requires strong attention to safety, reliability, and the ability to work efficiently during a 12-hour shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate stand-up and/or sit-down forklifts to load, unload, move, and stage materials, pallets, and totes

• Store and retrieve inventory from warehouse racking systems safely and efficiently

• Transport materials between departments, production areas, and designated staging locations

• Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and other material-handling equipment

• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of potential safety hazards

• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements

• Work safely around warehouse personnel, equipment, pallets, and high-bay storage areas

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding material movement and warehouse operations

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on material handling and forklift operation experience

• Proven experience operating stand-up or sit-down forklifts

• Ability to safely maneuver forklifts in tight warehouse spaces and around high-bay racking systems

• Ability to lift, push, pull, carry, and move materials as required throughout a 12-hour shift

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety

• Reliable, punctual, and dependable

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• Previous warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics experience preferred
