Material Handler
Location: Farmers Branch, TX
Pay Rate: $22.00/hr
Shift: 1st Shift | 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Monday through Friday, with overtime available as needed)
Environment: Warehouse & Outdoor Storage Yard (Fast-paced mornings)
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable, physically capable Material Handler to join our team at our Farmers Branch facility. In this hands-on, active role, you will support daily warehouse operations by receiving, staging, and organizing high-value loading dock equipment, industrial doors, and safety products for service technicians, subcontractors, and customer deliveries. While forklift operation is part of the job, this is primarily a manual material handling role where safety, spatial organization, and attention to detail are critical.

Material Movement: Safely loads, unloads, receives, stages, and organizes heavy dock equipment, doors, and industrial safety products.

Technician Support: Assists field service technicians and subcontractors with daily material requests and equipment staging during fast-paced morning dispatch windows.

Equipment Operation: Uses pallet jacks and sit-down propane forklifts (Toyota and Hyundai models) to safely navigate tight warehouse spaces and outdoor staging yards.

Order Verification: Carefully cross-checks job numbers against work orders before materials leave the facility to eliminate shipping and delivery errors.

Deliveries & Spotting: Accompanies service technicians on customer job sites when needed and serves as a visual spotter during large equipment moves on-site.

Safety & Housekeeping: Strictly adheres to all PPE and safety policies, keeping the warehouse and outdoor storage areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.

Administrative: Submits accurate paper timesheets to the supervisor on a daily basis.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications

Experience: Previous warehouse, material handling, or staging experience is required. Experience with sit-down propane forklifts is preferred (formal certification is not required).

Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and focus when matching high-value materials to exact job numbers and delivery receipts.

Physical Requirements: Highly active role requiring frequent heavy lifting, bending, carrying, and standing for extended periods in both indoor and outdoor environments exposed to heat, cold, and rain.

Professionalism: Professional demeanor and solid communication skills for potential face-to-face interactions with customers on job sites.

Dress Code Requirements:

Steel-toed boots required.

Full-length jeans (no holes, tears, or designs).

Plain shirts (long sleeves recommended for outdoor staging work).
