CNC Machinist / Machine Operator – Night Shift | Immediate Hire (Sealy, TX)

Pay Rate: Starting at $15.00 / hour (or higher, based on experience)
Shift: Night Shift (Initial training will take place during Day Shift prior to transitioning to Nights)
About the Role
Core Personnel Staffing is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious CNC Machinist / Machine Operator to join a fast-paced manufacturing facility in Sealy, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC Lathes and Vertical Machining Centers, verifying specs, inspecting finished parts, and maintaining high quality and ISO 9001 standards.
Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation & Setup: Set up and operate CNC Lathes and Vertical Machining Centers (VMC); maintain machine capacity and monitor tooling.

Material Handling & Loading: Identify materials, load parts into chucks manually or using electric chain hoists/overhead cranes, and operate forklifts safely.

Quality & Precision Inspection: Perform first-piece checks and continuous quality measurements using micrometers, calipers, sketches, and customer drawings to ensure defect-free output.

Material Identification: Differentiate physical material characteristics (Stainless Steel, Hastelloy, Inconel, Titanium, Aluminum, Brass, etc.) and maintain material traceability.

Deburring & Support: Perform deburring using drill presses or manual tools during machine runs; keep work areas clean and orderly.

Compliance & Safety: Strictly follow ISO 9001 procedures, standard work instructions, and company safety rules (wearing required PPE at all times).
Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred, with hands-on experience operating CNC Lathes or Vertical Machining Centers.

Measurement & Tooling: Ability to read drawings/sketches and accurately use precision tools (micrometers and calipers).

Equipment & Lifting: Experience using overhead hoists/electric chain hoists; ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs frequently and stand for extended periods.

Work Environment Capabilities: Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment (exposure to heat, loud noises, and loose particles with provided PPE).

Shift Flexibility: Must be willing to train on the Day Shift before moving permanently to the Night Shift; overtime as needed.
