Core Personnel Staffing is hiring a hands-on Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing client in Richardson. In this temp-to-hire role, you’ll build and run the preventive maintenance (PM) program across two facilities. You’ll set up the program, do the PMs yourself, and keep the equipment running.
About the Schedule
The base schedule is 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM. PMs need to be done when they won’t disrupt production, which means before shift, during lunch breaks, or after shift. Your hours can flex to fit that, as long as you work your full weekly hours.
What You’ll Do

Develop, implement, and personally perform a preventive maintenance program for equipment at the Richardson and Garland facilities

Set PM schedules, maintenance frequencies, checklists, and procedures, and make sure PMs are completed on time

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair machinery and production equipment to minimize downtime

Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs

Repair and replace bearings, belts, chains, rollers, motors, gearboxes, sensors, valves, and other components

Perform lubrication, adjustments, alignment, and other preventive and corrective maintenance

Respond to equipment breakdowns and production emergencies

Inspect equipment and catch potential problems before they become major failures

Track PM schedules, completed work, overdue PMs, repairs, parts needs, and recurring issues in the maintenance software

Coordinate and order maintenance parts, supplies, and materials

Keep accurate records of PM activities, repairs, equipment issues, and parts requirements

Work with production staff to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption

Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend fixes or improvements

Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout

Perform other maintenance-related duties as needed
What You’ll Need

Experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance and machinery repair

Corrugated machinery or press experience strongly preferred
-
Proven ability to develop and perform preventive maintenance programs

Strong hands-on mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills

Working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

Ability to use hand and power tools and read equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, and schematics

Strong problem-solving and organizational skills

Ability to work independently across two facilities

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
