Position Summary
Pay rate : $25-27 DOE
Location:Houston, TX
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–5:00 PM
Friday: On-call as needed. Candidates will be notified by Tuesday if Friday work is required.
We are seeking an experienced CNC / Manual Lathe Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating lathe equipment, reading technical drawings, using precision measuring tools, and producing quality parts according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities
*Operate CNC and/or manual lathes to machine metal components according to work orders and specifications.
* Set up machines, load materials, and make basic adjustments as needed.
* Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job specifications.
* Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions.
* Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and proper tolerances.
* Make machine adjustments to maintain product quality and production requirements.
* Perform routine machine cleaning, maintenance, and housekeeping.
* Safely operate machinery and follow all company safety procedures.
* Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
* Work efficiently while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
* Communicate any machine, material, or quality issues to the supervisor.
