Location: Carrollton, TX 75010

Pay Rate: $20.00/hr

Shift: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Monday through Friday, plus weekend overtime as needed on Saturday and Sunday)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Carrollton. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining absolute stock accuracy across the facility by performing regular cycle counts and conducting critical audit checks on incoming receiving inventory. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of inventory precision, excellent math skills, and a keen eye for detail to ensure our recorded inventory numbers are always true and accurate.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cycle Counting: Plans, executes, and records daily, weekly, and periodic cycle counts across all warehouse locations to ensure true inventory accuracy.

  • Receiving Audits: Partners closely with the receiving department to perform thorough accuracy checks on incoming freight, verifying physical quantities against purchase orders and packing lists.

  • Variance Investigation: Investigates inventory discrepancies, identifies root causes for stock shortages or overages, and processes appropriate system adjustments.

  • Data Entry & Reporting: Accurately logs cycle count results, inventory audits, and stock movements in the internal ERP/WMS system.

  • Stock Optimization: Assists in auditing bin locations, organizing warehouse slotting, and maintaining stock segregation for damaged or held inventory.

  • Department Collaboration: Communicates inventory findings effectively with department managers, warehouse supervisors, and receiving teams.

  • Housekeeping: Maintains an organized, clean, and safe working environment in the inventory control office and warehouse aisles.

Qualifications

  • Experience (Required): Minimum of 3 years of dedicated professional experience in inventory control, cycle counting, and stock reconciliation is strictly required.

  • Application Process: A current resume is required for consideration. Qualified candidates will participate in an interview with the Department Manager.

  • Core Competencies: * Strong basic math abilities are strictly required for calculating yields, unit counts, and stock reconciliations.

    • Deep understanding of cycle count methodologies and receiving auditing processes.

    • High level of attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.

    • Proficiency with inventory management databases, WMS, or ERP platforms.

  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and navigate warehouse aisles for extended periods, and routinely lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Availability: Must be punctual, dependable, and available to work the full 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM shift, including mandatory weekend overtime on Saturdays and Sundays as needed.

  • Screening: Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and E-Verify screening.
