Location: Garland, TX 75042
Monday to Saturdays ( Does not run all Saturdays)

Description: Quality Control Supervisor
A Quality Control Supervisor in the food industry is responsible for ensuring that all
products meet strict safety, quality, and regulatory standards from raw materials to
finished goods. This role oversees inspection, testing, and compliance activities, and
works closely with production and supply chain teams to maintain product integrity and
customer satisfaction
Key Responsibilities
Oversee Quality Control Program: Supervise the day-to-day operations of the
quality control department, ensuring compliance with company, regulatory, and
customer standards.
Inspect & Test: Conduct inspections and tests on incoming raw materials, in-
process products, and finished goods to verify they meet specifications
Develop & Update Procedures: Create, document, and revise quality control
standards, testing methods, and SOPs in line with industry standards (e.g., FDA,
USDA, HACCP, SQF).
Corrective Actions: Investigate non-conformance issues, customer complaints,
and product defects; implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent
recurrence
Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and supervise quality control staff; ensure
proper use of inspection equipment and calibration
Data Analysis: Analyze quality data to identify trends, defects, and process
improvement opportunities
Supplier Quality: Work with procurement to address quality issues with external
suppliers and manage returns of substandard materials
Compliance & Audits: Participate in internal and external audits; ensure
adherence to food safety regulations and documentation requirements .
Process Improvement: Recommend and implement process changes to enhance
efficiency, safety, and quality
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s, Chemistry, or a related field; associate degrees or
experience in the field may be accepted.
Experience: 3+ years in quality control, with supervisory experience preferred;
familiarity with food production processes and safety standards
Certifications: ASQ, ISO, HACCP, SQF, GFSI, or equivalent food safety
certifications are often preferred.
Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, data analysis, and
communication skills; knowledge of statistical process control and food safety
regulations
