Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Cutter/Folder Operator to join our production team in Plano, TX. This position is responsible for operating manual cutting and folding equipment to produce high-quality printed materials and documents for our clients. Experience with perfect binding equipment is preferred but not required.
The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, quality-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are encouraged to apply. English proficiency does not need to be perfect, as training and daily support are available from Spanish-speaking team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operate manual cutting and folding equipment according to production specifications.
Set up, adjust, and monitor equipment to ensure quality output.
Read and follow work orders and production schedules.
Inspect finished materials for accuracy, quality, and consistency.
Maintain production records and report any equipment or quality issues.
Assist with perfect binding operations when needed (preferred experience).
Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet production deadlines.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Support other production functions as assigned.
Qualifications Required
Previous manufacturing, print production, bindery, or machine operator experience preferred.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
Experience operating manual cutters and folders.
Perfect binding experience.
Print shop, mail production, or finishing experience.
Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods, including one to two hours at a time.
Frequent walking throughout the production facility.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks using hands and arms.
Occasional lifting of production materials; heavy lifting is generally not required.
Ability to work in a production environment with moving machinery and equipment.
