Job Overview
CORE Personnel Staffing Services is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Component-Level Electronics Technician in El Paso, TX. In this role, you will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair server printed circuit boards (PCBs) and mainboards using electronic diagnostic equipment and micro-soldering techniques.
Key Responsibilities

Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair server PCBs, mainboards, and defective surface-mount technology (SMT) or electronic components.

Component-Level Diagnostics: Perform short-circuit detection, root-cause failure analysis, and component-level testing using electronic test equipment and diagnostic fixtures.

Testing & Quality Assurance: Test and verify repaired boards to ensure proper functionality; perform basic debugging and maintenance on test fixtures.

Documentation & Safety: Accurately document repair findings and test results while adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and safety guidelines.

Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Quality, Test, and Repair teams to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education: High school diploma, vocational/technical certificate, or equivalent required. Additional education in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Technology preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in electronic equipment repair, rework, troubleshooting, or testing (servers, PCs, laptops, or electronic boards).

Technical Skills:

Knowledge of integrated circuits (ICs), electronic components, and reading circuit schematics.

Experience with SMT component replacement and component-level troubleshooting.

Good visual acuity and manual dexterity for micro-soldering and detailed inspection.

Preferred Certifications & Skills:
-
IPC-A-610 or IPC-7711/7721 certifications are a plus.

Experience with micro-soldering, short-circuit detection, and server motherboard repair.

Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently or in a team, and clear communication.
